Upcoming SCOUTE School Class at Schnee’s – Master Your Optics
May 20th 2025
We’re excited to announce our next SCOUTE School class, taking place right inside Schnee’s on Main Street in Bozeman—a perfect setting to dive into precision shooting fundamentals with fellow hunters and marksmen.
This session is all about one of the most overlooked—but absolutely critical—skills in your setup: how to properly mount your scope and how to get the most out of your optic’s performance.
What You’ll Learn
Whether you’re new to long-range shooting or you’ve been dialing turrets for years, this class will give you hands-on insight into:
- Scope Mounting Done Right
- Ring alignment, torque specs & reticle leveling
- Tools of the trade and common pitfalls to avoid
- Lapping vs. non-lapping rings
- Optimizing Scope Performance
- First vs. second focal plane differences
- Zeroing techniques and turret systems
- Eye relief, parallax, and reticle usage in real-world scenarios
- How to set your optic up for ethical, precise shooting in the field
Why It Matters
A poorly mounted scope or misunderstood optic can ruin an otherwise perfect shot. At SCOUTE School, we’re focused on giving you the knowledge and confidence to make clean, ethical hits in any condition.
This class is a great opportunity to ask questions, learn best practices, and get hands-on with gear and techniques trusted by professionals.
